Confluence is a privately run public space that operates under the values of community, collaboration, and critical thinking - and so with these in mind and COVID-19 spread continuing worldwide, and cases increasing in NZ, it is important to us that we continue to do whatever steps we can to help mitigate the risks in our community.
Confluence is a space designed specifically to bring people together, and clearly the risks vs. benefits of continuing to do this physically are increasing.
Community spread is now in New Zealand, and this was one of our triggers for taking additional measures at Confluence to protect our community and coworkers. Therefore Confluence is now closed to everyone.
Closing Confluence also aligns with our governments national alert levels 2,3 and 4. Please see covid19.govt.nz for more information.
Over the coming days and weeks Confluence will focus on increasing our social contact with our community of coworkers, cinema visitors, and others. This has already started with ‘virtual cinema’ and will be joined with daily online get togethers soon.
You're welcome to view pages on this website explaining the steps we have taken for each aspect of Confluence.
Confluence is owned and operated by Double Farley, whose tag line has, for a long time, been "Work in new ways." Over the coming weeks you'll see more information shared from us and others of how we can all do this.
Finally we apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by any of our actions so far, and we are looking forward to the future and retaining the community of Confluence by working in new ways.

Confluence is different things to different people in Whanganui; It is the longest running and most used co-working space, it is a favourite art-house boutique cinema, and it is also an events venue for all sorts of community organisations.
Confluence is well known in Whanganui, yet it is also hidden away on the top floor of our building, so you may not come across us if just wandering around.
Confluence is CLOSED please do not visit.
