Some of our wonderful audiences at Confluence If you can answer yes to all of the above then we would love to hear from you. Please read more below and complete our short form, or give us a call on 06 2813474, or text on 021 2921007 - just mention 'test screening audience' - and we'll go from there. What happens nextBy providing your email address we will contact you when screening opportunities are planned. These do not happen more than once a month, and may not be scheduled for a number of weeks. We will periodically send out updates in-between known screenings. Rewarding youFilmmaking can be a long process, often involving many iterations of the same film being edited. Being able to screen one or more of these versions to an audience of people who are not directly involved with the film is extremely useful and your feedback will directly shape the final release. So as a small token of our thanks your name can be included in the credits of the final film, and there will be a yes/no box for this on your feedback forms. Test screenings are free to attend and you are welcome to bring a friend(s) but please ask them to sign up first as seating will be limited. Although we cannot pay you for your time in viewing the films, we will provide you with all the same comforts for any screening in our boutique cinema, including some light refreshments as you will be a member of our test screening audience list. Who we needYou do not need any special skills or knowledge to take part. We are looking for a good cross section of New Zealand audiences as most of our films are made for local festivals or clients. As the films being screened will not have been seen by a NZ classification office we ask that only adults apply to avoid the unlikely risk of screening material unsuitable for younger audiences. How does it workWith as much notice as possible you will be sent an RSVP, normally via email, to attend a screening for a film we are working on. This may be a new film, or another version of one you've already seen during a screening here. Screenings will only proceed with a minimum number of confirmed RSVPs. We will confirm go/no-go at least 3 days beforehand, and earlier if invites are returned promptly. The films could be feature length, or short, or simply sequences from upcoming films. This will be explained in the invite. All films will be documentary in style and therefore considered Exempt from NZ classification under section 8. However should they contain material considered by the filmmakers or producers as suitable for a mature audience, we will explain this in the invite. During and after each screening you will be asked to fill in a simple check list style form and provide any additional feedback. This may include a quick chat after the screenings, but it will always be a relaxed event with no right or wrong answers. Comments are closed.
