The Whanganui premiere of A Home in this World. This short format documentary has been selected for DocEdge 2018 plus other festivals, and will be screening for the first time in the town where the producers and filmmakers worked. Indeed also where the subject of the film (Robin Hyde) was a reporter for the Chronicle, and the same town where her brief, and unknowingly forbidden passions, ultimately led to her secret baby. Now 85 years later, he tells you her story.

Screening together with A Home In This World will be Meet Peter from Gemma Duncan. This short film explores a truly unseen side of Auckland, and was the recipient of a special mention at DocEdge 2017. The film follows Peter who is passionate about discovering and protecting the hidden lava caves beneath Auckland, some of them spreading for KM's. Many of the films sequences were shot in the caves with some stunning cinematography as in these dark depths, light really is at the command of people.
