Plastic Surgeons (teaser trailer)
Currently in consideration for New Zealand film festivals, Plastic Surgeons (2019) is the latest short documentary film from Double Farley, and although we cannot show the film yet, this is your chance to see a few clips that make up the trailer. Filmed in early December 2018 at a local Doll's Hospital, it was originally intended to be a short sequence in a longer version of Best Loved. It soon became clear that this charming New Zealand story was an ideal one to make its own film. Whilst we eagerly await the festivals decision, we are proud to present a few clips to give you a delightful glimpse into the world of toy repair.
2019 | DIR Kevin Double | Exempt | 2 mins
Best Loved (short)
Originally shot in 2010 at the Katherine Mansfield Birthplace museum in Wellington, this short film has only recently been edited into a story to be shared with an audience. Back in 2010 the museum ran a month long exhibition called Best Loved which called for people to bring in their childhood toys. Toys that were owned for years, or mere days, from books to teddy bears, dolls to tin soldiers, all had just one thing in common - there were and still are the owners Best Loved.
2018 | DIR Kevin Double | Exempt | 13 mins
As this film is a short documentary we will be screening it alongside another one or two short films to provide around an hours worth of Thoughtful Thursday this evening. All films will be classified exempt unless notified otherwise.
