Community. Collaboration. Critical Thinking.
Everything that happens at Confluence is driven by these values.
The interpretation of Confluence's values forms part of our discussion with people coming into the space, either through policy and procedure for our coworkers, or in collaboration with our event hosts or organisers, or as evidenced by the experiences of our visitors.
Together we're human.
We all need a strong, inclusive, and resilient community, and Confluence wants to play its part in making sure we have one!
We raise funds and provide free or low-cost services, including event space, to a range of community organisations. Confluence also hosts a number of training events to bring world-class opportunities to our Whanganui community.
Rather than using concession pricing we provide affordably priced high quality services for everyone.
Achieving progress together.
Confluence contains a coworking space that hosts a wide range of coworkers; independent workers, small businesses, remote workers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, creatives, and other interested locals.
It's about more than having a space to work though. Confluence supports people to collaborate with each other and extend that collaboration to the wider community as well. We host a wide range of public and private meetings, students, podcasters, filmmakers and conference attendees. We also have highly skilled facilitators on-tap!
Time to think.
Confluence encourages critical thinking, investigation, and open communication. We ensure our space is open to all and a space where respectful but questioning conversations can take place.
We run a public cinema to bring audiences together to experience stories of fact, fiction, art, or comedy. There's always something thought provoking and fulfilling screening at Confluence.
