We all need a strong, inclusive, and resilient community, and Confluence wants to play its part in making sure we have one!
We raise funds and provide free or low-cost services to a range of community organisations. Confluence also hosts a number of training events to bring world-class opportunities to our Whanganui community.
Rather than using concession pricing we provide affordably priced high quality services for everyone.
Confluence contains a coworking space that hosts a wide range of coworkers; independent workers, small businesses, remote workers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, creatives, and other interested locals.
It's about more than having a space to work though. Confluence supports people to collaborate with each other and extend that collaboration to the wider community as well. We host a wide range of public and private meetings, students, podcasters, filmmakers and conference attendees. We also have highly skilled facilitators on-tap!
Confluence encourages critical thinking, investigation, and open communication. We ensure our space is open to all and a space where respectful but questioning conversations can take place.
Confluence is an alcohol, smoke, vape, and non-prescription drug free space for the safety and enjoyment of everyone who visits.
We currently screen documentaries every Thursday evening. These Thoughtful Thursday documentaries are selected from the latest releases and classics to be thought provoking, or challenging, and attendees are always given time and space to engage in conversation after each film.
